Lewis & Carroll Tea

Came here since it's famous for its tea collection and seriously, they have a really wide selection of tea. The price is reasonable for their quality. The place itself is sleek and classy, with calm music playing in the background. Anyway, I really appreciate how the staffs treat the customers. They are somehow really attentive to small details, helpful, and polite. I believe that they must have been trained well.

Love this cafe for their wide selection of teas & cosy ambience. You can choose from black, black blend, fruit, flower teas and many more. I tried the flower one, Rose Petal of Peace. The rose aroma was quite strong but I found the taste of the rose in the tea wasn't that strong, which suited me. Had Crusted Grilled Chicken, this was also good. The wine soy sauce gave distinctive taste. Ended with Pannacota, my fave dessert. Unfortunately the green tea pannacota was sold out, too bad cause never try green tea pannacota so I was really curious. The Vanilla one was ok, just the same taste like most cafe's have. Nice food presentation too.

I should admit that this cafe soon became one of my favorite cafes. The main reason is surely they serve the best tea in Jakarta. They offer a wide selection of loose leaf teas, which is SPECTACULAR! I have been searching for the tea place during these past four years. While the area this cafe locates is quite nice and calm, a bit far away from the Jakarta's busy traffic, I am not so impressed with how the chairs,tables and couches are arranged. When I visited this cafe, my plan was to complete some works, while sipping my hot tea. But, because of their interior setting, which I think accommodate more visitors in groups than those who come on their own and need more private corner to focus on their laptop for example, I felt a bit annoyed. The food was okay, but certainly the tea is unforgettable.
