It\'s as simple as the fact that everyone works not for life, but for survival. AOA is an alternative resto and creative space for various activities such as discussion room, gallery, and etc,. for workers who wants to make the day. It could be hanging out, surfing the internet, huddling with friends, watching gigs, discussing various topics, and any other after office agenda.
AOA also means (A)lternative rest(O) & (A)rtspace, to maintain its indie spirit, vision and mission. In this manner, AOA is a creative space that combines 5 main concepts, namely Resto + Literature + Music + Books + Fine arts.
As a resto, this space will sell food and drinks.
In terms of literature, this space will have a regular literary education and appreciation program.
In terms of music, this space will hold regular discussions, appreciation and music performances. Indie musicians can also make this space a distribution channel for their works.
In term of books, this space will work with independent publishers and authors interested in collaborating, in terms of book distribution, book review, book launch and so on.
In terms of fine arts, due to its semi-gallery nature, this space will provide a place for exhibition, either for commercial or non-commercial purpose. If any visitor is interested to purchase the art work, the AOA team will connect the potential buyer to directly negotiate with the artist. If sold, the artist may voluntarily contribute some amount from the the sale for AOA\'s survival. Each artist has a display time of at least 1 month. The minimal period of this display is intended to open the regeneration space for new works and artists who want their work to be displayed and appreciated.
AOA\'s mission is to be an independent creative space, where artists, musicians, publishers, writers, artists, painters, writers can come together, share knowledge, build network, collaborate, support each other, achieve mutual appreciation, mutual development, and even to seek livelihood.
